OUR PROJECTS
Our Project to prevent child trafficking and child marriage is called Save Village Program. Firstly, we have started this project in four districts of West Bengal namely East Burdwan, West Burdwan, Birbhum and Bankura districts. This project will gradually spread to every district of West Bengal. The vision of our project is to reduce child trafficking and child marriage by 90 percent in West Bengal by 2030. The project is funded by the Global Fund to End Modern Slavery.
Violence against girls is increasing day by day, girls are facing various attacks on the streets. So in every family, when the girls go out, there is a lot of tension between the parents as to whether there is any attack on their daughter, So with the safety of girls in mind, our organization JCMCD started Self-Defense Karate Training with Trained teachers for girls.
JCMCD organized a free sewing training for women from poor families and women from the SHG Group to meet the needs of their families. So that these women can learn to sewing and earn income and help their family by giving some money every month.
From the beginning, our organization JCMCD has been bringing smiles on the faces of poor people. To that end, before Durga Puja, about 360 poor people were given new Puja clothes.
JCMCD organized a cultural event in collaboration with the SC/ST community where a bond of humanity was seen among all and everyone shared a lot of joy together. JCMCD believes that race is not a religion. One of our religions is human religion.
Panchayat Development provided by the Central and State Government means a Social Audit Program to see how much money is being spent on panchayats in any case and whether there are any complaints against the general public panchayats. And to do that, our organization gave JCMCD the responsibility of eight blocks. The government hired JCMCD VRP and CSO to do the Social Audit.
At the initiative of JCMCD and in collaboration with B.D.O. of Jamalpur Block, Social Worker Training has been started for many NGOs in Burdwan. This will specifically focus on the work of NGOs and their role in moving their society forward in the future.
JCMCD works with many sports clubs so JCMCD trains players in football with skilled coaches. The winning clubs were given mementos, footballs and jerseys through small small football competitions. These initiatives of JCMCD are supported by the Sports Department of the Central and State Governments.
How can we all forget that these poor people get cold in winter but JCMCD works with these people all year round so our organization can understand their plight all the time. So at the initiative of JCMCD, 200 poor people were given winter blankets.
JCMCD in collaboration with Lions Club Of Calcutta Femina has set up a free Computer Training Centre for local poor aspiring students. This computer training centre will be carefully taught to students by experienced teachers and is completely free.
It is very difficult to run a family in poor families. With the initiative of JCMCD, the women of the self help group have been trained to expand the jute industry by doing various handicrafts and helping them in earning a living.
At the initiative of JCMCD, 152 poor patients were provided free Medical treatment and at the same time the necessary medicines were provided free of cost. For poor people their healthcare JCMCD is keeping an eye on mothers and children all the time.
The government has lockdown to reduce the number of people affected by the epidemic Corona Virus, but for that lockdown, the people who work day in and day out are unemployed, JCMCD distributed 5kg of Rice, 3kg of Potatoes, 2kg of Onions, 1 liter of Mustard Oil, 500gms Muri, 1 Sanitizer , Masks , various spices to each of the helpless people.
Corona (COVID-19) Awareness Camp was organized by JCMCD . Doctors are warning about the terrible epidemic of Corona Virus on this day. 50 Health workers were given PPE Kits, Masks , Hand Sanitizers , Hand Gloves , Head Caps and about two and half hundred people were given Masks, Soaps, Hand Sanitizers, Hand Gloves on behalf of JCMCD.
Every year our organization JOUGRAM CENTRE FOR MOTHER AND CHILD DEVELOPMENT (JCMCD) distributes new clothes to children and old people before Durga Puja. This year, new clothes were distributed to 1500 children and old people . Our organization wants happiness to spread among all .
Today is 8th March 2014 , International Women's Day Celebration Today a rally was held with Asha workers and women. Everyone was honored with a reception. The rally was held with about three hundred and forty women.
Child Rights Day was celebrated with the initiative of Burdwan District Administration and Child Protection Department and management of JOUGRAM CENTRE FOR MOTHER AND CHILD DEVELOPMENT (JCMCD) with 970 children. On this day a rally was held with the children to educate them about their rights. Cultural program was also held.
Today is 10th December, International Human Rights Day is celebrated at the initiative of JCMCD . Mr. Anil Majumdar, the founder of JCMCD, explained to the common people about Human Rights. In addition, many poor people were provided with winter blankets, food and football for twelve clubs.
Our organization JOUGRAM CENTRE FOR MOTHER AND CHILD DEVELOPMENT (JCMCD) distributed free textbooks to 105 poor students. Our organization is always on the side of poor students in any problem.
Hon'ble Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi's dream project is "Swachh Bharat Abhiyan" Initiated by our organization JOUGRAM CENTRE FOR MOTHER AND CHILD DEVELOPMENT (JCMCD) to keep the country clean and tidy since 15th August 2015 Independence Day , Nabagram Railway Station was started to be kept clean and tidy with the volunteers of our organization. We all have to come forward as the people of the country to keep our country clean and tidy.
